Who Are Our Specialist Teachers?

Our Specialist Teachers are a step above a standard tutor or teaching assistant. Every one of them is:

  • A qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Holder of specialist qualifications in neurodiversity, or has extensive experience working in special schools and specialist SEND settings
  • Trained and experienced across Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), Sensory Processing difficulties, anxiety and disengagement
  • Experienced in delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions aligned to EHCP outcomes and SEND Support plans
  • Familiar with the SEND Code of Practice and the graduated approach — Assess, Plan, Do, Review
  • Professionally supervised by experienced SEND Consultants within the Elite Tutors Sussex team, so you can be confident that the quality of provision is always held to the highest standard

Co-planning with class teachers, our Specialist Teachers can meet and plan with your teaching staff to ensure that specialist strategies are woven into everyday classroom practice, not just delivered in a separate session
