Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd is an agency for procuring and arranging, for and on behalf of the students and clients, one-to-one tutoring services by tutors registered with Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd.

Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd shall introduce tutors to families and for subjects stated overleaf within a reasonable time.

Tutor availability varies depending on season, subject and type of tutor requested. All tutors are DBS checked and qualified in their subject of expertise. It is mandated that all tutors shall undergo an enhanced criminal background check and provide Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd with a copy of the DBS.

The parent, guardian or student must contact Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd office for any cancellation. Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd requires a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel a session. Regular charges for tutoring (and any other charges, eg where rooms are hired for tuition) will apply if notice is not provided for any scheduled session. A parent, guardian or student is permitted not more than two cancelled sessions per month with proper notice. If there are more than two cancelled sessions per month (whether or not notice is given), normal charges for any additional cancelled sessions apply.

After 7 days from the commencement of the contract, the tutoring agreement can be cancelled by the family, parent or student upon giving in writing to Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd 30 days’ notice of cancellation and payment for the notice period. The family, parent or student is not entitled to cancel this agreement during the first 4 hours of tutoring. If the agreement is cancelled by the family, parent or student prior to completion of the first 4 hours of tutoring, the client shall be responsible for payment for the first 4 hours of tutoring. This agreement can be cancelled by Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd by giving 30 days’ notice and without provision of any tutoring services for that period. Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd may refund any unused balance that may have been paid in advance by the client.

A chaperone such as a parent or legal guardian who should be a person of at least 18 years of age, must be present during each tutoring session by the tutors with any minor, defined as any person under the age of 18 years of age. Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd will not be held liable of a parent or guardian is not present.

All payments for tutors shall be paid through Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd .The hourly fee agreed in signed contracts shall include the tutoring fee, the administration, supervisory and any other incidental fees of Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd during the term of this contract. Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd will send  invoices for pre –payment for tutoring sessions requested by the client. All payments for tutoring are due before tutoring services commence. Payment for tutoring can be booked in advance (block booked).

Non-payments of sums due for the cost of the tuition may result in the termination of this agreement. A returned payment or cancellation of a direct debit, standing order or other agreed payment method may result in the client’s service being stopped without notice and a charge may be applicable to reinstate the service.

Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd its agents or registered tutors do not guarantee any grade or level or entrance to any particular school by a student who is tutored by Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd.

Parents, guardians and mature students may request a change of tutors. A replacement tutor will be sought at no additional cost. A waiting period may be necessary for a new match of the tutor.  It is understood that Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd can switch tutors as deemed necessary and the student or family will not be charged when such switching is deemed necessary.

It is understood that tutoring hours purchased are transferable for alternative subjects and/or for alternative tutors and/or siblings within the immediate family of the student. A parent, guardian or student can reserve hours or place tutoring on hold for alternative courses or for an alternative period or transfer them to other family members. A period of 15 days’ notice has to be given to Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd in writing for the transfer of tutoring hours.

During holidays and/or in circumstances where the tutoring is suspended by the parent, guardian or student the payment for the tutoring will not continue until commencement of tutoring. In the event that the tutoring has to be suspended for more than 3 weeks, Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd cannot guarantee that the tutor who was tutoring the student prior to suspension of the tutoring, shall be available to continue tutoring with the same student.

Any communication and or notice required or permitted to be given under the terms of this agreement shall be in writing and shall be by prepaid registered letter or by electronic mail addressed to the party for which it is intended at Elite Tutors Sussex Ltd office address, or to such other address as may be substituted from time to time in writing, and if mailed, it shall be deemed to be given 48 hours after the date of the registration receipt.
