11+ (Eleven Plus), ISEB Pre-Tests, Interview Practice

The 11 Plus is an examination taken by some school pupils in their last year of primary school for entrance to a school of their choice.

Elite Tutors Sussex knows the importance of being skilled at question types presented in the ISEB Pre-Tests which are now being more commonly used for independent senior school entry. Practice at interview questions and encompassing both pre-test practice and interview skills during a tutor’s lesson is of great benefit.

We understand how competitive it is becoming to gain entry to independent schools and so every tutor has a thorough knowledge of the four different tests used . These are Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English. Many tutors also have experience working in the UK’s leading independent and outstanding schools.

We don’t believe that children should be over-coached as this can result in a school placement not being appropriate. A few lessons to familiarise the format should be enough to ensure your child is prepared.

13+ (Thirteen Plus or Common Entrance Exam)

The 13 Plus or Common Entrance exam, taken in Year 8 is broader than any other exam your child will have tackled before. As well as English, Maths and Science, he or she will sit additional papers for anything from French to Religious Studies or Classical Greek. We introduce highly experienced 13+ tutors to help your child with these subjects and to give them the tools they need to secure a place at one of the UK’s leading senior schools.
