Do your tutors have experience with dyslexia, ADHD and neurodiversity?
Yes. Elite Tutors has a dedicated team with specialist training across a range of learning differences, including dyslexia, ADHD, dyscalculia and wider neurodiversities. We begin by understanding your child as a whole person, their interests, strengths and what helps them feel safe and motivated.
How is tutoring adapted for children with SEND?
Sessions are calm, structured and flexible. Tutors use multi-sensory strategies, clear routines and plenty of positive feedback. We break tasks into manageable steps, build in movement, games or interests-based learning where helpful, and focus on steady progress that feels achievable.
My child masks well at school. Will you notice what’s really going on?
This is a key part of our approach. We look beyond surface behaviours to spot signs of tiredness, overload or masking. By creating a predictable, low-pressure space, children can relax, and once they feel understood, learning becomes more authentic and sustainable.
Can you work alongside an EHCP or other professionals?
Yes. Many of our primary tutors are also trained and/or have experience in teaching specific learning needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, and other neurodiversities. We use structured, multi-sensory approaches to help children master the basics while building self-belief.
Do you offer assessment or diagnosis?
Yes. Elite Tutors provides dyslexia assessments, including both full diagnostic assessments by Level 7, APC-registered assessors and screening options. Assessments typically take 3 – 4 hours with breaks and include verbal feedback plus a comprehensive written report with practical recommendations for home and school. Where relevant, we’ll advise on exam access arrangements and next steps. If another type of assessment is needed, we can also signpost to trusted professionals.
How do we get started with a SEND Tutor?

How much does a dyslexia assessment cost?
Our full, diagnostic assessments by a qualified assessor are £595 which includes a full report, recommendations for school and home and a feedback session with the assessor.
