COVID19: How to keep everyone safe

As the UK goes in and out of lockdown through this pandemic, we have carefully considered how face to face tuition can be carried out as safely as possible in the coming months. Whilst we understand that some families may want to stay with remote learning, we want to ensure that we have guidelines for health that keep everyone as safe as possible whatever the context.

Guidance for Tutors

First and foremost, please ensure that you keep up to date with and follow government advice in the coming months.
Practical guidance for tutors:

  • Inform the ETS office at the earliest opportunity should you develop symptoms of COVD 19
  • Avoid shaking hands
  • Wash or sanitise your hands on entry and exit from a family home
  • Bring your own hand sanitiser to lessons
  • Bring your own tissues
  • Sit further away from the student than normal if possible
  • Do not lean over a student or have them lean over you
  • Sanitise all equipment between lessons. This includes: iPads, laptops, stationery, games, calculators etc.
  • Try to minimise any equipment sharing eg: students to use own stationery etc

Guidance for Families

Please follow this guidance to keep both you and tutors safe in these difficult times.
Guidance for Families:

  • Sanitise the area before each lesson
  • Students need to wash or sanitise hands before each lesson
  • Be aware that we have advised tutors to not shake hands
  • Please make hand washing facilities or a hygiene station available to tutors on entry
  • Understand that the tutor may want to sit a distance away from your child
  • Inform the ETS office if anyone in your family develops symptoms
  • Students will be asked to provide their own equipment eg: stationery
